Excellent apartments in a great location

We stayed at Sonder for 2 weeks while working from home and quarantining. The apartments are truly excellent - modern, clean, spacious and in a really great location on Hannover Quay. The staff at Sonder were so helpful with any requests. Would highly recommend for any stay in Dublin.

What was the highlight of Sonder at Britain Quay

This was very enjoyable and I will highly recommend this place.

I like the location and ease to public transport. The apartment was well equipped and was clean. The rooms were big and the wifi was fast. Having a washing machine and tumble dryer were very handy. To have a big fridge/freezer was also a plus. It was close to shops and in safe and secure location. The balcony was a plus. The gym available is well equipped and not too busy although small. The lights that could be adjusted was a nice feature.

The pillows were not of good quality. A combination of soft and hard pillows on the bed or even memory foam will be a good alternative. Not wanting the use the heating always, you did feel the chill in the air but there was no additional blankets or throws available to use. There were small things that need to be fix i.ie, the shower head leaks, the kitchen tap leaks when you open it at the base of the tap and the bed's headboard is loose on the right side. The batteries in the remotes needs replacement or the remotes needs to be replace. It was difficult to use due to its response.

All in all a very satisfying experience.

The apartment was very tasteful furnished. The location was excellent. The building itself was new and modern. It was very quiet and peaceful.

We missed some small things in the apartment. For instance a wardrobe for our jackets, a shoe cabinet and deep plates. The apartment could be more cozy and warm with some flowers and some rugs. But all in all we enjoyed our stay a lot and will most likely book another Sonder apartment on our next trip to a different destination.

Upmarket apartment in a good location.

An upmarket apartment in a great location. We were close to a busy area with good restaurants, but far enough away that it felt quiet and peaceful. Definitely recommended for a longer stay in Dublin. Everything was provided for, I especially loved the Davines shampoo, conditioner and body wash!

Only a few minor trifles, for example would have preferred bath sheets to bath towels and there was no draining rack next to the sink.

The sofa was extremely comfortable. The place was spacious.

The windows weren't clean, and if I opened the windows for air, lots of bugs would come into the apartment as there is no protective screen. Also I expected to find basic food ingredients like bread or something as I arrived pretty late. But there was nothing.

In bathroom there were no floor mats, which left the floor wet and dirty. There should be door mats and floor mats, atleast in bathroom.

We were staying at this apartment over the Christmas and the heating was not adequate, not warm.

The apartment was nice

The heating was not working properly and we were cold it was not fixed despite many requests. They offered us heaters and extra blankets but this was not adequate. It is not want one expects when paying 1,500 Euro per week.

New place and good location, but a lot to improve.

- The apartment was very clean and spacious. - New furniture and modern decor. - Big balcony with chairs. - The location is good and near almost everything ( restaurants, convenient stores, pharmacy, grand canal dock train station was 15min walk, 25min walk to downtown) and we did not need to use any public transpirtation very often. - The apartment has a lot of amineties like iron, washing machine , dishwasher. - Apart from the shower issue I mentioned above, they responded fast to every request I made when I contacted the by email.

- Check in instructions are not clear. This is critical as there are no Sonder staff at site or personal check-in ( maybe add a photo of the street, entrance and the building?). - no written instructions on how to use amenities provided in the apartment such as the heater or weather control, electric oven and stove, safe box...etc. - there was a construction site near by and it was very unbearably loud almost all weekdays for the entire of my stay. They would start as early as 6:00AM till afternoon. I really had a lot of trouble sleeping well even with all windows shut. - there was no Wifi on the day of arrival and the day after and we had to contact Sonder staff to get a password for another network. We were given the wrong password and we had to contact them again which was a hustle. - the kitchen missing a lot of basic everyday utensils and kitchen wear like tea cups, cutting board and knives for example. - I had two showers in the apartment, but one of them did not have hot water. I tried to contact Sonder team through email (because the number provided in their app was a US number) to explain the issue, but took a lot of effort and time ( almost 4-5 days of contacting them back and forth) to get them to send someone form their staff to solve this issue. - The Apartment was empty when we arrived (no welcome tea bags or coffee ), but Sonder team brought some later on. - no phone in the apartment, and I had no local number, so I had to send an email every time I needed to contact Sonder.

Comfort and elegance was awesome and satisfactory. Very prompt response received via online service. Location is favorable. My family really enjoyed this place and would like to recommend others as well.

Sometimes our key doesn't work on the entrance gate. Most of the time the mobile phone network doesn't work in the apartment.

Terrible

There was a drainpipe right outside the window. When it rains the noise is unbearable and one can't sleep On four occasions I had to sleep in the living room. I had to take the cushions from the sofa and put them near the door as this was the only darkish spot. Could not sleep on the couch as there are only net curtains and too much light gets in even at night, street lights etc. When the extractor fan over the cooker is turned on, dirt covers the food that you are preparing. Looks something like sawdust. Extractor fans in the bathroom did not work nor did the towel rail The heating system has a mind of its own. Had to call a technician in to the set it up right. He advised that it was all set up wrong. And even after he fixed it/set up the controls right, the heating was still all over the place e.g. you set the heat for 21degrees it still wouldn't raise above 19. If I wasn't to busy I would have moved elsewhere. The place is not fit for purpose. But if you like your food covered in sawdust, sleepless nights and erratic room temperatures, then this is the place for you.
